What steps are involved in the recycling of household packaging?
Light household packaging goes through the following procedures from the moment it is launched on the market until it is recycled:
Selection plant
The containers that you deposit in the yellow container arrive at one of the 97 selection plants that are distributed throughout Spain. There they are separated by materials (different types of plastics, metals and briks) grouping them into bales and sending them to approved recyclers who are in charge of processing and transforming them into recycled raw material with which to manufacture new packaging and products.
